Calendars
Subscribe to a track's dates in Google, Apple or Outlook calendars, and how Outlap imports public event calendars.
Subscribe to a track’s dates
Every track has a public ICS feed of its published public dates. It needs no account or key.

- Google Calendar: Other calendars → From URL, paste the link.
- Apple Calendar: File → New Calendar Subscription, paste the link.
- Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste the link.
Calendar apps refresh subscribed feeds on their own schedule, typically every few hours. Outlap caches the feed for 10 minutes. Details: Public calendar feed.
For a track’s private feed (including unpublished dates), use the authenticated calendar with an API key.
How Outlap imports external calendars
Outlap’s event directory also includes events from outside the platform. A scheduled job reads public ICS feeds of series and circuits, plus season calendars from Wikipedia articles, and updates the directory.
- It needs no credential and only reads public information.
- A run inside the cooldown (60 minutes) is a no-op, so repeated calls are harmless.
- Each feed is fetched with a 20-second timeout so one slow host can’t stall the rest.
- Events more than about 400 days out are ignored, since feeds sometimes carry old or far-future seasons.
- The reader supports what event feeds use:
VEVENTblocks, folded lines, escaped text,TZIDparameters andGEO. Recurrence rules aren’t supported; motorsport calendars don’t use them.
