MCP server

Beta

Connect Claude and other AI assistants to your Outlap account: read saved setups and lap times, and search the global circuit database.

Outlap runs a Model Context Protocol server. Once you connect an assistant, you can ask things like “What was my best lap at Mondello last month?” or “Compare my last two saved setups for Brands Hatch” and it answers from your real data.

Name: Outlap
URL: https://fzfstcyowovukscxgdrh.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp

The first time you use a tool, your client opens a browser window to sign in to Outlap and approve access. The assistant then acts as you: it can only see your own setups and laps, plus public circuit data.

Tools

All tools are read-only and idempotent.

whoami

Returns the signed-in user’s user_id, email and the OAuth client_id. Use it to confirm the connection is authenticated.

list_my_setups

Lists your saved AI setups.

  • limit integer default: 20
    1 to 50.

Returns setups[], each with id, name, race_date, car_category, created_at, circuit and event_type.

get_setup

Returns one saved setup in full: circuit, weather, vehicle and the AI’s recommendations.

  • setup_id string required
    UUID from list_my_setups.

list_my_laps

Lists your logged personal lap sessions, most recent first, each with its laps (lap_number, lap_time_ms, and s1_ms to s4_ms).

  • circuit_id string optional
    Filter to one circuit (UUID).
  • limit integer default: 50
    1 to 200 sessions.

search_circuits

Searches the global circuit database by name, city or country. This tool doesn’t need you to be signed in to return public data.

  • query string required
Text to match against name, city or country.
  • limit integer default: 15
    1 to 50.

Returns circuits[] with id, name, country, country_code, city, length_km, turns, fia_grade and slug.

Example prompts

  • “Search circuits named Silverstone, then list my laps there and tell me my best sector times.”
  • “List my five most recent setups and summarise how my tyre pressures changed.”
  • “Which of my saved setups was for a wet track day?”

Privacy and control

  • The assistant sees only what its tool calls return, and only for your account.
  • To revoke access, remove the connector in your AI client. The assistant can no longer call tools.
  • Tool results become part of your conversation with that assistant, so treat them like any other data you share with it.
