Discord
Link a driver's Discord account to Outlap, join the official server, and have roles and event channels follow Outlap data.
Outlap connects to Discord so community spaces follow what people are actually doing on the platform.
For drivers
In your profile, choose Connect Discord and approve the OAuth prompt. Linking also joins you to the official Outlap server and grants roles derived from your Outlap activity:
| Role | Granted when |
|---|---|
| Driver | You’ve linked your account. |
| Club member | You’re a member of a club. |
| Club organiser | You organise a club. |
| Event attendee | You’re a confirmed attendee of an event. |
Roles are reconciled from Outlap data, so they update when your memberships and attendance change. You can disconnect at any time from the same card.
For organisers
Club admins and organisers can provision a Discord category and channel that backs a club or an event, from the club or event’s Discord panel. Each request is for exactly one club or one event, and only people who can manage that club may do it. Visibility follows Outlap’s rules, using roles for the club or event.
What Outlap asks for
Linking uses Discord’s standard OAuth flow with just the permissions needed to identify you and add you to the Outlap server. A bot in that server manages channels and roles.
