File import
Load a results or passings export into an event after a session: vendor detection, recognised columns, and how invalid laps are handled.
No live link? Export results from your timing software and import them into Outlap. Outlap detects the vendor, reads the columns, and asks you to confirm which Outlap driver each competitor is before anything is saved.
Import a file

Export from your timing software.
A results export, a passings export, or a captured RMonitor stream all work. CSV, tab-separated and semicolon-separated files are accepted, as is pasted text.

Open Race Control for the event and choose Import timing in the lap entry.

Upload or paste.
The vendor is detected from the file. You can override it if detection guesses wrong.

Map competitors to drivers.
Competitors are matched on transponder, then car number, then name. Fix any that didn’t match, then confirm. Warnings, such as skipped rows, are listed before you commit.

Recognised columns
Header names are matched case-insensitively, ignoring punctuation. Any of these aliases work.

Lap times can be m:ss.SSS, ss.SSS, h:mm:ss.SSS or plain seconds.
Invalid laps
Rows whose status or note contains DNF, DNS, DSQ, DQ, off, off course, rerun, invalid, void, black or cut are imported as invalid laps, so they’re kept for the record but don’t count towards results.
Wide results (one row per driver)
Exports with one row per competitor and columns Lap 1 … Lap N are unpivoted into individual laps automatically.
