Import logger laps
Bring a session from your VBOX, AiM, RaceChrono, TrackAddict or Garmin logger into Outlap and onto an event's board.
If you already log with a dedicated device, import the session instead of re-timing.
-
Export from your logger.
Each device has a slightly different export path. Short version: VBOX
.vbo, AiM Race Studio CSV with GPS channels, RaceChrono CSV (v3), TrackAddict CSV, Garmin Catalyst GPX. Exact menus are in Data loggers. -
Open the importer.
Go to
https://app.outlap.xyz/timing/importand drop the file in. -
Review what was found.
Outlap detects the logger type, times each lap, drops out-laps, in-laps and pit stops, and tells you how many it skipped and where the start/finish line came from.
-
Choose where the laps go.
Your personal history, and optionally an event you’re entered in. Pick the event and the laps go on its board.
If something looks wrong
- No laps found. The file may be a timing-only export without GPS. Re-export with GPS channels.
- Times are a little different from your logger. Outlap re-times from GPS against the circuit’s line, so times can differ slightly from your logger’s own beacon timing.
- Pit laps missing. Laps much slower than your typical lap are dropped on purpose.
