Running an event
Create an event in a few steps, then manage registrations, groups, sessions, waivers, payments and the day-of manifest.
Track day, drift practice, race, meetup, road tour: Outlap sets it up in a few steps and then handles registrations, waivers, payments and the manifest for the day. Listing is free, with no per-event fee. The only fee is 5% of money you collect through Outlap.
Create the event
Start from Create event in the app. The wizard autosaves as you go, so you can leave and come back; you’ll be asked to sign in on the final step if you haven’t already.
| Step | What you decide |
|---|---|
| Type | The kind of event. |
| Date | Day and times. |
| Where | The venue or circuit. |
| Route | For events that travel, such as road tours and convoys. |
| Vehicles | What can enter, and any vehicle needs. |
| Details | Name, description, capacity. |
| Tickets | Free or paid ticket types. |
| Groups & extras | For tracks: run groups and extras such as passes. Others see just Extras. |
| Visibility | Public (listed, with a public live board) or private. |
| Review | Check everything, then publish. |
You can save a draft and publish it from the event page later, and duplicate an event to reuse its settings.
After you publish
- Registrations & waitlist. Entries fill to capacity; a waitlist takes the overflow.
- Waivers. Every registration captures a signed waiver snapshot.
- Groups and sessions. Split the field into run groups and schedule sessions, each with a status you can change in Race Control.
- Messages. Confirmed attendees can be sent broadcast emails from the event dashboard, and briefings can be generated for the day.
- Ticket check-in. Check people in at the gate. The roster is cached so check-in keeps working with a weak signal.
- Manifest. Import a manifest from a spreadsheet, or add walk-up drivers on the day.
Sell elsewhere?
Events can use an external ticketing URL. Attendees see a clear banner sending them to your provider, and Outlap handles the rest.
Put it on your own site
- Embeds: event lists, registration cards, join forms.
- Calendars: a public ICS feed.
- Track API: the same data as JSON.
Time it
Connect your timing system in Race Control, and share the live board.
